Do you like the smell of fresh paint?  Believe it or not, some people do, and they're crazy.  That "fresh" paint smell is actually a lovely concoction of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's).  These harmful chemicals include formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, and xylene, none of which are beneficial to your health.  These chemicals are known to cause eye, nose, and throat irritation, headaches, and may even cause cancer.  Even worse, they linger around long after the paint has dried too.  In fact, VOC's can continue to leak out of your painted surfaces for years after the paint has dried.   

Thankfully, AFM Safecoat manufactures wonderful paint products that contain Zero VOC's, are non-toxic, and completely harmless to your health.  They are even doctor recommended for people who suffer from chemical sensitivity syndrome.  To top it off, AFM Safecoat Paint seals in off-gassing chemicals from whatever it's coating.  If you are painting plywood, drywall, or something else that typically contains formaldehyde, or other toxic chemicals, Safecoat will seal it in forever.

AFM Safecoat Flat Finish is a soft sheen for areas not exposed to high traffic.  Of all available sheens, it is the least glossy with the next step up being Pearl.

    I've wanted to use Safecoat paint for quite some time. I first found out about it several years ago but there's no way for me to get it out in the boonies.

    Ecomerica was very accommodating. I actually had picked out Sherwin Williams paint colors and they were able to match them perfectly. They even called me on the phone to confirm some details and make sure my order was perfect.

    The shipping was quick and painless. They gave me tracking information and everything.

    I had a professional painter do the actual painting and it came out great. He said it was very easy to work with and the coverage was as advertised. We did use the Safcoat transitional primer as a precoat per the manufacturers recommendations.

    I was very pleased with the products and service I recieved from Ecomerica. I highly recommend them and will be considering them when I'm ready to replace my flooring. The selection they offer looks great.

  2. Good Tinting match

    The ability to order custom tinted paint online was very useful. There are no Safecoat dealers anywhere around me and I really needed to use their paint because I'm chemically sensitive. The process of choosing the color online was a little tricky. I ended up ordering a couple sample cards to make sure the color was what I expected. I highly recommend doing that or even just ordering one of the full fan decks. Once I got my order, everything was tinted properly and was exactly what I wanted. I'm very happy with the quality of the paint. The coverage was great and so far it appears to be holding up well, and best of all, I've had no reaction to the paint!
